Telegram Announces Sponsored Messages for Promoting Channels and Bots, Promises to Preserve User Privacy

Telegram is adding a new Sponsored Messages feature that will allow anyone to promote their own channel or bot through the platform. Sponsored Messages will be displayed in public channels with over a thousand subscribers and will be limited to 160 characters.
